Knights Life

Spiritual Life

We are all called to live as Christ did.  At Saint Anthony, we aim to "Teach as Jesus Did" and our faith is the foundation upon which everything else we do is built.

Our students meet each morning before class for a prayer service. In addition, they celebrate weekly Mass together, where they participate in the liturgy. We also participate in seasonal liturgies. Beginning in 5th grade, students can become altar servers, and serve at weekday and weekend Masses.

We truly live our school motto, "More than a school, we are a family."  One way in which we embrace this mantra is through our Buddy Program, where older students are paired with younger students. The buddies not only sit together at Mass, where older students model good behavior, but they also get together throughout the year for activities and celebrations.

While we accept students of different faith denominations, St. Anthony's number one priority is to continue to build a solid foundation in Catholic traditions, morals, and values.

We recognize that parents are the primary educators of our students, and this is as true for faith formation as it is for other aspects of life.  We are proud to be your partner in helping your child grow in their love of God, their love and compassion toward others and in helping them to live and spread the Gospel.  We encourage all parents and staff to nurture their own faith, and we invite you to the various faith formation opportunities that our parish offers on a regular basis.

Clubs and Organizations

Student Council

Student Council members in grades 4-8 meet once each month to discuss the betterment of the school. Student Council also organizes several fundraisers at school. Money raised during the year is contributed to scholarship funds for those going on to attend Santa Fe High School to help with supplies. We also purchase school supplies for the teachers, die cuts, and other needed supplies.

Sports Program

Saint Anthony’s offers several after-school intramural sports. Our coaches focus not only on introducing students to the fundamentals of learning a sport but also on growing sportsmanship and responsibility. Students in grades 6-8 must maintain a 70% average in all subject areas to participate in sports. The current sports offered are soccer, basketball, volleyball, and flag football.

Fine Arts

Arts & Music

Our students have the opportunity to explore various visual arts media, both in theory, and hands on practice, revealing their God given talents to create.

In Music, students learn about different genres of music, music history, and about different music from cultures all over the world.

Art classes offer our students another avenue to express themselves.  Students learn about different media and techniques, and participate in art fundraisers, competitions, and exhibitions.

Annually, the five Catholic Schools in Polk County gather to showcase their art and music talents with an art competition and musical performances.
